So, Oliver and I have been working on a bunch of things. Letters (A and O are down pat, the rest, not so much). Counting (1, 2 are good, 2, 4, 6 are good, the rest, not so good). Cutting. He really likes the cutting. So, in honor of Christmas I decided to make a little Santa Countdown. Hopefully some of you with little ones will enjoy it too. Oliver seems pretty excited so far!
It’s sized for printing on an 8½” x 11″ piece of paper, then all you’ve got to do is cut one of the strips each day until his beard is gone.
Side note: numbers are now fixed (Thanks for the heads up Jen), lets blame it on me being sick, k?
Here’s your downloads:
Here’s what it looks like.

This Santa countdown is a fun way to combine early learning with a simple Christmas activity. Practicing letters, numbers, and cutting can make learning feel more hands-on and enjoyable for young children. For a different kind of interactive experience, Melon Sandbox lets players explore physics by experimenting with characters and objects.

I had been comparing mobile gaming apps with one simple requirement in mind: the interface should remain comfortable during ordinary use. Raxi win game was one of the options I checked, and I spent some time looking through its general arrangement rather than rushing into anything. The sections were reasonably understandable, and navigating around the interface did not feel overly complicated. Harish prefers apps where basic menus are easy to locate, and that is also something I tend to notice when comparing different mobile platforms.
