I don’t do nearly as much freezer cooking as I’d like to, but that’s mainly because we don’t have a big freezer yet, only what came with the fridge, and most of the time it’s 90% full of ice-cream and freezies.
In anticipation of getting a big freezer though (and there have been a few times over the last two years where we were planning on going out to get one, but something always seems to come up), I made labels that would help me keep it more organized.
I think I covered all the bases here, with spots to keep track of when it was put in the freezer, when it should be cooked and eaten by, and any cooking directions so that you don’t have to go hunting through recipe books. If you think I’m missing something though, just let me know!
Here’s what they look like:
This is the 2″ x 4″ label. It uses Avery template #5163
This is the 3″ x 5″ label. It uses Avery template #5168. I don’t use this one very often though, so if you’re going to get labels for one of them, get it for the smaller size.
