Bo and I are spending today in the hospital… Because our baby girl has decided to make her appearance! I couldn’t ask for a better present, and I got the one up on Bo by remembering to bring his card. It just keeps getting better.
Intrepid food blogger that I am, I’ve sent him on a hunt for bread pudding. In a hospital. I’m pretty sure this is an impossible feat, but he was getting bored. This is number fee after all, at this point we’re just kind of on auto pilot until she gets here. Did I mention that I feel like I do not remember at all how to take care of a baby… It’s like riding a bike… Right???
The highlight of the day (outside of the adorable little to come). Our tradition of ordering in Pizza Hut for dinner.
Quick shout out to the two awesome nurses I’ve gotten today. Seriously the sweetest, nicest ladies I could ask for (one of which just brought me in the MOST adorable little hat for my girl. I love small(ish) town living.
Update: no bread pudding to be found. He came back with salt and vinegar chips. This is not the same thing, but I’ll probably enjoy them later.
Update 2:
After an interesting complication (that I worry would freak people out, like Bo was, if details are shared), Sophie Kate was born at 2:55 by emergency c-section. She’s 6lbs 11oz, and 19.25″ long, nothing but pure adorableness. She looks an awful lot like her brother did too (she doesn’t have the cheeks Anna managed to pull off).
We’re both doing great, and I’m on a mission to go home later today, so keep your fingers crossed. Right now though, I just want the sun to come up so I can get some good pictures.
Still on the hunt for that bread pudding too, I may have to make some tomorrow.
