I thought it would be fun to sign up for a month long commitment to blogging. Every day, one quick little post, a way for everyone to get to know me a little better, and a way for me to start blogging with more frequency. Bonus – this month the daily “themes” were written to go along with a photo. Awesome, I’ve got a new camera one the way, and some new toys to go along with it, what could possibly go wrong.
Day 1 – You. Do you like taking Selfies?
Well shit. That’s not exactly how I was hoping to start off.
So, no, I do not like taking selfies. I probably would if I was in any way photogenic (the photographer at our wedding actually asked if I was “making crazy eyes on purpose”). Taking a quick one today was extra awesome because I used the bench and light in the front hall, and I was trying to be really quick because a new mattress was being delivered any time, and the last thing I wanted to do was have to explain myself.
Ok, at least that’s out of the way. Tomorrow has got to be better than today for me 😉 I prefer to be behind the camera.
Oh, and if you’re wondering why I felt the need to hold my hair up. It’s because I like it better that way, I was hot from running around trying to set up the camera and find the right lens, and I didn’t want to risk wasting any more time searching for my hair clip. Because I only have one (that I love, and can’t find a replacement that’s identical).
Phew. Until tomorrow!

I don’t like selfies either- I usually think they just look weird because everyone has that same, arm’s length pose when they do it. Who says you’re not photogenic anyway? You look great! ๐

Okay first- please tell me you fired that photographer! LOL Or at least told him to give you a discount for the comment. (And I say “him” because I cannot imagine a world where a woman would say that to another woman on her wedding).
And I happen to like the photo very much, so you are photogenic!
P.S. I also have one hair clip. A piece broke off. I’m heartbroken (but still using it). LOL

Oh noooo!!!! I’m distraught over your hair clip (or maybe at the thought of breaking my own). It is the only one that doesn’t feel like it’s pinching me. I’ve got super, SUPER fine hair, so it’s a miracle it holds it up at all.
And thank you ๐ I always feel like when I look back at pictures a few years later, I look better in it than I thought at the time. Probably because I look younger, lol!
